MA-IBMB CSIC
Mariona Arbonés:
The interest of the group is to study the developmental processes that regulate growth and generate neural diversity in the central nervous system. We use the mouse as a model system and combine different in vivo techniques and cell culture methods together with proteomic and genomic approaches. Current projects of the laboratory aim at:
1. Identify new functions for the Down syndrome-associated kinase DYRK1A in the development of the cerebral cortex.
2. Uncover new mechanisms involved in cell cycle regulation and neurogenesis in the dorsal pallium.
